Data Deletion
Last updated: May 2025
Your data belongs to you. If you'd like us to delete everything we have on you — your tasks, lists, preferences, and account — just ask. No questions, no friction.
What data we hold
When you use Dot via WhatsApp, we store:
- Your phone number (to identify your account)
- The messages you've sent to Dot — tasks, reminders, list items, notes
- Your preferences — briefing times, timezone, crew names
- Your email address, if you joined the waitlist
How to request deletion
Send an email to hello@talktodot.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the phone number associated with your Dot account.
We'll delete all your data within 30 days and confirm by email when it's done.

Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Your Dot account will be permanently removed and all associated tasks, lists, and preferences will be erased from our systems.
If you ever want to use Dot again after deletion, you'll need to start fresh with a new onboarding.
Third-party data
Dot uses a small number of trusted services to operate. When we delete your data, we also request deletion from:
- Supabase — our database provider
- OpenAI — note that OpenAI does not retain your messages for training purposes
Your WhatsApp message history remains in WhatsApp's systems — to delete that, use WhatsApp's own deletion tools.
